Before Getting In

Be sure the windows, outside mirrors,
and outside lights are clean.
l
Inspect inflation pressures and
condition of tires.
l
Look under the vehicle for any sign of
a leak.
l
If you plan to back up, make sure
nothing is in your way.
NOTE
Engine oil, engine coolant, brake fluid,
washer fluid, and other fluid level s
should be inspected. See Maintenance,
Section 8.
After Getting In
l
Are all doors close d and locked?
l
Is the seat adjus ted properly?
l
Are the inside and outside mirrors
adjusted?
l
Is everyone's seat belt fastened?
l
Check all gauges.
l
Check all warning lights when the
ignition switch is turned to the ON
position.
l
Release the parking brake and make
sure the parking brake warning light
goes off.
Always be thoroughly familiar with your
Mazda.
