What to do if my McCulloch MAC 3-14XT engine will not start?

If your McCulloch Chainsaw engine won't start or runs only briefly, it could be due to several reasons: * The ignition switch might be off; in that case, move it to the ON position. * The engine might be flooded; refer to 'Difficult Starting' for guidance. * The fuel tank could be empty; refill it with the correct fuel mixture. * The spark plug might not be firing; install a new spark plug. * Fuel might not be reaching the carburetor; inspect for a dirty fuel filter (replace if necessary) or a kinked/split fuel line (repair or replace).
