Door Opening from Inside -
Discharged Battery
WARNING: Do not stow items in the
manual door release area that may cover
or snag on the manual release cable.
This could lead to unintentional pulling
of the manual release cable and opening
of the door.
To release a door from inside, pull the manual
door release strap off its stud.
NOTE: Only use this door release strap
when the battery has become
discharged.
NOTE: Be careful not to accidentally pull
the manual door release cable during
cleaning of the interior.
Pull the strap forwards in one smooth
movement until resistance is felt then pull the
strap forward again until the door latch is
released. This allows the door to be partially
raised before it automatically swings
outwards and upwards.
NOTE: Do not leave the cord lying on the
floor after use.
After use, refit the door release strap.
Carefully feed all the door release cord back
into the B-pillar. Push the door release strap
back onto its location stud.
NOTE: Please contact your authorised
McLaren Retailer if you have any
concerns regarding the manual door
release strap and cord.
NOTE: Please make sure that the manual
door release strap fits correctly on its
location stud.
