4.8 Mowing leaves
Leaves that are mowed can be beneficial to your lawn.
● Make sure the leaves are dry and are not laying too thick
on the lawn. Do not wait for all the leaves to be o the
trees before you mow.
5 Maintenance
Caution! Disconnect the battery before any mainte-
nance is carried out.
5.1 To do before you do maintenance
on the product
1 Remove the battery.
2 Remove the grass catcher.
5.2 To clean the product
Warning! Never pour or swill water on the product.
Caution! Do not use detergents or solvents. This can
damage the plastic parts on the product.
● Clean the product with a brush after use.
● Carefully remove residual grass from underneath the
mower deck with a wooden stick or something similar.
● Keep the ventilation openings free from dust and dirt.
● Clean the motor casing with a damp cloth. Wipe the
engine casing all over.
● Check the condition of the blade.
● The grass catcher can be rinsed with water when
removed from the lawn mower.
● Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the
machine is in safe working condition.
● Check the grass collector frequently for wear or
deterioration.
● On machines with multi blade, take care as rotating one
blade can cause other blades to rotate
● Be careful during adjustment of the machine to prevent
entrapment of the fingers between moving blades and
fixed parts of the machine.
● When servicing the blades be aware that, even though
the power source is switched o, the blades can still be
moved.
● Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only
genuine replacement parts and accessories.
● Wipe the product with a clean cloth
● If needed, clean the product with a damp cloth and mild
detergent. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these
can be aggressive to the plastic parts of the product.
● Clean the underside of the cutting deck after each use to
avoid a build-up of grass, which would prevent proper
mulching.
5.3 To check the blade
Warning! Disconnect the battery before the blade is
disassembled.
The blade is made of pressed steel and will need to be
sharpened from time to time. Make sure that the blade is
balanced, an unbalanced blade will cause excessive
vibration. To check the blade for balance:
1 To disassemble the blade from the product; put the
product sideways and uncrew the blade bolt. (Figure
14)
2 Insert a rod through the center hole of the blade (A)
and lift the blade horizontally. A balanced blade will
remain horizontal. (Figure 15)
3 Sharpened the blade if necessary (B). (Figure 15)
4 Reattach the blade and tighten the bolt with torque
20 Nm.
Note: Make sure that the cutting edge of the blade points
into the direction of the motor rotation.
6 Storage
● Always allow the machine to cool down before storing.
● Store the product in a dry area, protected from wet
conditions and freezing temperatures.
● Remove the battery from the product before putting into
storage.
● Remove foreign material from the product.
● Keep this product out of the reach of children.
● Store the product away from corrosive substances, such
as salt.
● If the product is going to be stored for a long time, charge
the battery every 6 months.
● Store the battery in a cool and dry place. Store the
battery in a place with temperature not higher than 27°C.
7 Disposal
● Make sure that you follow local regulations when you
discard the product. Do not burn the product.
