This document describes a battery-powered lawn mower with mulching, forward drive, and a grass catcher. The product is intended for household use in private gardens and similar settings, and is not suitable for commercial use, public facilities, sports arenas, or agriculture.

Function Description:

The lawn mower is designed to cut grass efficiently. It features a mulching function, which shreds grass clippings and spreads them back onto the lawn, eliminating the need for collection and disposal. The forward drive mechanism assists in moving the mower across the lawn, reducing user effort. A grass catcher is included for collecting clippings when mulching is not desired. The mower is powered by one or two 40V lithium-ion batteries, with an automatic switchover when one battery is discharged.

Usage Features:

The lawn mower is equipped with several features to enhance usability and safety:

Safety Key: The product can only be started when the safety key is inserted, preventing accidental operation. It should be removed after use and before any maintenance or storage.
Start and Stop Mechanism: To start, press and hold the safety button (A) and then push and hold the bail bar (B). The motor stops immediately when the bail bar is released, though the blade continues to move for a short while.
Speed Adjustment: The drive speed can be adjusted using the shifter (B) on the handle.
Handle Height Adjustment: The handle offers three height settings, allowing users to choose the most comfortable position.
Mowing Height Adjustment: A height adjustment lever allows for easy selection of the desired cutting height (25-80 mm). Ensure the lever clicks into place in one of the slots.
Grass Catcher: The 55 L grass catcher includes a level indicator. When the indicator flap closes during mowing, it signals that the catcher is full and needs to be emptied.
Mulching Unit: For mulching, the grass catcher is removed, and a mulching adapter is inserted into the ejector opening. This feature is recommended for relatively short grass.
Side Ejector: The mower also supports side ejection by lifting the ejector flap and attaching the ejector guard.
Battery System: The mower can run on one or two 40V batteries. It automatically switches to the second battery when the first is discharged.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for the product's longevity and safe operation:

Pre-Maintenance Steps: Always remove the battery and safety key before performing any maintenance or cleaning. Remove the grass catcher before cleaning.
Cleaning: The product should be cleaned with a brush after each use. Residual grass under the mower deck should be carefully removed with a wooden stick or similar tool. Ventilation openings must be kept free from dust and dirt. The motor casing can be wiped with a damp cloth. The grass catcher can be rinsed with water once removed. Do not pour or swill water directly onto the product, and avoid detergents or solvents on plastic parts.
Blade Maintenance: The blade should be removed and sharpened when it becomes blunt. To do this, undo the nut holding the blade, clean the contact surfaces, and replace the blade if it is very worn. Always use manufacturer-recommended spare parts.
Storage: Store the lawn mower in a dry, frost-free place (10-25°C). Store the battery and lawn mower separately. Charge the battery before long-term storage. Keep the mower away from corrosive substances like salt and fertiliser.
Transport: Remove the battery before transporting the lawn mower. The top handle can be folded down by undoing the quick-couplings, and the carry handle should be used for transport.
