Overview

The M-Elec NOX Highbay is a robust and versatile lighting solution designed for industrial and commercial applications, featuring enhanced durability and rapid heat dissipation. This highbay series offers power-selectable options, allowing users to adjust the wattage to suit specific lighting requirements, and includes an optional quick-fit microwave sensor for convenient installation and intelligent control.

Function Description:

The NOX Highbay provides powerful and efficient illumination for large spaces. Its primary function is to deliver high lumen output with excellent efficacy, ensuring bright and uniform lighting while minimizing energy consumption. The power-selectable feature allows for flexible deployment across various environments, from warehouses and factories to sports halls and retail spaces, by enabling the user to choose between different power levels (e.g., 50-150W, 100-230W, 150-300W) to match the desired light intensity and energy efficiency goals. The optional microwave sensor adds smart functionality, allowing for presence detection and daylight harvesting, which can further optimize energy savings and operational convenience. The design emphasizes ease of installation, with a focus on quick and simple setup.

Usage Features:

  • Power Selectable: A key feature allowing users to select the desired wattage (and corresponding lumen output) from a range of options, providing flexibility for different lighting requirements and energy saving goals.
  • Easy Installation: Designed for quick and easy setup. The manual emphasizes disconnecting mains, removing existing lights, installing the new highbay with a suitable mounting method, ensuring a 'fail-safe' support, plugging into the power outlet, and testing for safety and performance.
  • Optional Microwave Sensor (ML-SENSOR): This accessory can be easily integrated by unscrewing the lock cap from the middle of the highbay and replacing it with the sensor, locking it into place. This enables intelligent control features such as presence detection and potentially daylight harvesting, enhancing energy efficiency and convenience.
  • Accessory Compatibility: The NOX Highbay supports various accessories for enhanced functionality and installation flexibility:
    • Bracket Mount (ML-HB-BR): Allows for secure mounting in various positions. Installation involves removing the existing highbay ring (if applicable), installing the bracket, placing the highbay on the bracket, aligning fixing bolts, and securing all adjustable points.
    • Refractor (ML-HB-REF) & Refractor Kit (ML-HB-REF-D): These accessories modify the light distribution, potentially reducing glare and directing light more precisely. Installation involves placing the refractor against the highbay, aligning screw points, installing screws, and attaching the refractor kit to the refractor.
    • Remote (ML-REMOTE): Used for controlling the microwave sensor.
  • Robust Design: Enhanced durability and rapid heat dissipation contribute to a long operational life and reliable performance in demanding environments.
  • Integrated Driver: The 120-277V AC integrated driver simplifies installation and ensures compatibility with a wide range of electrical systems.

Maintenance Features:

  • Pre-Installation Instructions: Users are advised to read instructions carefully, disconnect power before installation or servicing, avoid extending low voltage cables, prevent mechanical stress on components, avoid damaging circuit board paths, follow all electrical and safety standards (including AS3000), observe correct electrical polarity, and protect against corrosive agents.
  • Regular Cleaning:
    • Lens Cover: Clean regularly to maintain high transmission of light.
    • Reflector and Heat Sink: Clean dust regularly to ensure sound heat dissipation and prevent overheating.
  • Chemical Avoidance: Do not use corrosive solutions for cleaning, as this can damage the device and is not covered under warranty.
  • Power Disconnection: Always ensure the power has been turned off before performing any maintenance or repair work to ensure safety.

The M-Elec NOX Highbay series is a comprehensive lighting solution that combines high performance, adaptability, and ease of use, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of industrial and commercial lighting applications.
