This document describes the RF400A, a remote control for an adjustable bed system, and its associated functionalities.
Function Description
The RF400A remote control is designed to operate various actuators of an adjustable bed, allowing users to customize their sleeping or resting positions. It features dedicated buttons for common positions like Zero Gravity (ZG) and Anti-Snore, as well as individual controls for head and foot adjustments, and a flat position.
Usage Features
The remote control offers several distinct usage features:
- Click Function: A single click of the ZG button moves the bed's actuators to the pre-programmed Zero Gravity position. The movement stops if any other button is clicked during this process.
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the ZG button for 5 seconds allows the user to set a custom Zero Gravity position. During this action, the timer LED on the remote flashes, indicating that the control box is recording the current bed position as the new ZG position.
- Movement Sequence: When moving to a memory position (like ZG), the head and foot actuators initiate movement first, followed by the tilt and lumbar actuators.
- Click Function: A single click of the AntiSnore button moves the bed's actuators to the pre-programmed Anti-Snore position. Similar to the ZG function, the movement ceases if any other button is clicked during the adjustment.
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the AntiSnore button for 5 seconds enables the user to set a custom Anti-Snore position. The timer LED on the remote flashes, signaling that the control box is recording the current bed position as the new Anti-Snore position.
- Movement Sequence: When moving to a memory position (like AntiSnore), the head and foot actuators move first, followed by the tilt and lumbar actuators.
Head Up (1)
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the HEAD UP button on the remote causes the head actuator to extend, raising the head section of the bed. The movement stops immediately upon release of the button.
Head Down (2)
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the HEAD DOWN button on the remote causes the head actuator to retract, lowering the head section of the bed. The movement stops immediately upon release of the button.
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the FOOT UP button on the remote causes the foot actuator to extend, raising the foot section of the bed. The movement stops immediately upon release of the button.
- Press and Hold Function: Pressing and holding the FOOT DOWN button on the remote causes the foot actuator to retract, lowering the foot section of the bed. The movement stops immediately upon release of the button.
- Movement Sequence to Flat: When transitioning to the flat position, the lumbar actuator and tilt actuator move first. Approximately 500 milliseconds later, the head and foot actuators begin their movement to complete the flattening process.
Flat (9)
- Click Function: A single click of the FLAT button causes the bed to return to a completely flat position. The flattening process stops if any other button is clicked during the movement.
Memory Position (6) (8)
- Click Function: Clicking a memory position button (6 or 8) moves the bed's actuators to the previously saved memory position. This allows users to quickly recall their preferred customized settings.
