If the windshieldwipersbegin to movewhile
youare changing the wiperblades, youcould
be trapped by the wiperarm.There is ariskof
injury.
Alwaysswitch off the windshieldwipersand
ignition beforechanging the wiperblades.

To avoiddamagingthe wiperblades,
make sure thatyou touch onlythe wiper
armofthe wiper.

Never open the hood if awindshieldwiper
armhas been foldedawayfromthe wind-
shield.
Never foldawindshieldwiper armwithout a
wiperblade back onto the windshield.
Holdthe windshieldwiper armfirmlywhen
youchange the wiperblade.Ifyou release
the windshieldwiper armwithout awiper
bladeand it fallsonto the windshield, the
windshieldmay be damagedbythe force of
the impact.

the wiperbladeschangedataqualified
specialistworkshop.

Switch off the engine.

Removeyourfootfromthe brake pedal.

Set the windshieldwiper to the ° posi-
tion.

Press the Start/Stop button repeatedly
untilthe windshieldwipersstart.

When the wiperarmshavereachedaver-
ticalposition, press the Start/Stop button.

Foldthe wiperarm away fromthe wind-
shielduntilitengages.
X
Set the wiperblade at rightanglestothe
wiperarm.
X
Removethe wiperblade fromthe retainer
on the wiperarm in the directionofthe
arrow.
Installing the wiper blades

Slide the new wiperblade into the retainer
on the wiperarm in the opposite direction
to the arrow.
X
Turn the wiperblade parallel to the wiper
arm.
X
Foldthe wiperarm back onto the wind-
shield.
