Aer lling t
he DEF tank, place DEF ller cap
1 on the ller neck and tighten it clockwise.

Remove tool 4 fr
om DEF ller cap 1 and
store it in the vehicle tool kit.
#
Pull cover 3 on DEF ller cap 1 up o
ver
holes 2 of DEF ller cap 1, turn and
release.
#
Turn DEF ller cap 1.
If DEF ller cap 1 tur
ns freely, the DEF tank is
closed.
Parking

Flammable materials such as leaves, grass or
twigs may ignite.

Park the vehicle so that no ammable
mat
erial can come into contact with hot
vehicle components.

In particular, do not park on dry grass-
land or harvested grain elds.

they could, in particular:

open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.

get out and be struck by oncoming trac.

operate vehicle equipment and become

vehicle in motion, for example by:

releasing the parking brake.

changing the transmission position.
R
starting the vehicle.

Never leave children unattended in the
vehicle.

When leaving the vehicle, always take the

If you park the vehicle with the transmission in
park position j and the parking brake is not
engaged, the vehicle may roll away.
Engaging park position j is not a fully ade-
quate replacement for the parking brake.
There is a risk of accident and injury!

Observe the following points to ensure that the

ehicle is properly secured against rolling away
unintentionally.

Always apply the parking brake.

On uphill or downhill inclines: Secur
e the rear
axle with a chock or an object without any
sharp edges.

You can operate the side windows for v

minutes aer you have switched o the vehi-
cle.

y braking with the parking brake
If you have to brake your vehicle with the park-
ing brake, the braking distance is considerably
longer and the wheels may lock. There is an
increased risk of skidding and/or accident.

Only brake the vehicle with the parking

ake if the service brake has failed.
#
In this case, do not apply the parking
br
ake with too much force.
#
If the wheels lock, immediately release
t
he parking brake as much as required
for the wheels to turn again.
