Mono and Academy
In the Mono and Academy DSP presets you can choose to
listen to:
❍ Only one of two input channels, for use when different
languages or material are carried on each channel.
❍ A combined version of the two input channels, for use if the
material was originally mono and has been conveyed on a
two-channel carrier.
If there is a centre speaker, the combined or selected signal is
played only through this to centrally localise high-frequency hiss
and clicks.
The Academy DSP preset includes an equalisation
(recommended by Lucasfilm Ltd) to correct for a high-frequency
balance in some old mono films.
