This document is a start guide for an Aroma Diffuser, a smart home product from Geeni and Merkury Innovations. It provides instructions for setup, usage, and maintenance, along with troubleshooting tips and important safeguards.

Function Description:

The Aroma Diffuser is a smart Wi-Fi essential oil diffuser designed for household use. It allows users to diffuse essential oils and create a pleasant ambiance in their homes. The device can be controlled remotely via the Geeni app on a smartphone or tablet, offering convenience and smart home integration. It features a mist nozzle, outer cover, water tank cover, indicator lights, and control buttons on its base. The diffuser operates by adding purified water and essential oils to its water tank, then using an ultrasonic vibration plate to create a mist.

• Connectivity: 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (does not connect to 5GHz networks)
• App Compatibility: Mobile devices running iOS® 9 or higher or Android™ 5.0x or higher
• Indoor Use Only: Suitable for indoor use.
• Water Immersion: DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER.
• Rated Capacity: DO NOT EXCEED RATED CAPACITY.

Usage Features:

• Geeni App Control: The diffuser is managed through the Geeni app, available on the App Store and Google Play. This app allows for remote control and management of multiple Geeni smart devices.
• Easy Mode Connection: The primary method for connecting the diffuser to the Geeni app. In this mode, the LED indicator light flashes quickly (2 times per second). To activate Easy Mode, press and hold the Wi-Fi button once.
• AP Mode (Backup Mode) Connection: A backup connection method for when Easy Mode fails. In this mode, the LED indicator light blinks slowly (every 3 seconds). To activate AP Mode, press and hold the reset button again after attempting Easy Mode.
• Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the diffuser on or off.
• Mood LED Color Change: Press the light button to cycle through different mood LED colors.
• Timer Settings: Press the timer button to set the diffuser to operate for 1, 3, or 6 hours. The default timer is 1 hour. Pressing the button again after 6 hours will turn off the timer.
• Essential Oil Usage: Recommended 4-6 drops of essential oil for 300ml of water.
• Water Level: The water level should be between 50ml (minimum) and 300ml (maximum).
• Device Sharing: Users can share control of the diffuser with family and friends through the Geeni app's "Device Sharing" feature.
• Device Grouping: Multiple Geeni devices can be grouped together by room, location, or type within the app for unified control.
• Device Renaming: Devices can be renamed within the app for easier identification.

Maintenance Features:

• Regular Cleaning: It is suggested to clean the diffuser every 5-6 days or after 9-10 times of usage to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Cleaning Procedure:
  1. Disconnect the adapter from the AC power source or turn off the power.
  2. Place the diffuser on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Remove the outer cover and the water tank cover.
  4. When pouring out water, keep the mist nozzle up to prevent water from flowing into the circuitry.
  5. Clean the ultrasonic vibration plate at the bottom of the water tank with a cotton swab.
  6. Clean the outer cover with a cloth or cotton swab.
  7. For dirt or oil in the cover or water tank, clean with a dried cloth, kitchen soap, and warm water.
  8. After cleaning, add purified water to the tank, power on the diffuser for 30 minutes, then drain the water and dry the tank.
  9. For dirt on the mist nozzle, remove the outer cover and clean it with a neutral detergent.
• Recommended Cleaner: Neutral detergent is strongly recommended for cleaning. Detergents containing chlorine, acid, or enzymes may produce hazardous effects.
• Storage: The diffuser can be stored after it is dried out.
• Safety Precautions:
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children (aged 8 years and above).
  • Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before putting on/taking off parts.
  • Do not operate with a damaged cord, plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or is damaged.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven.
  • Use only with the provided power supply unit.
