Usage Features

Before first use, all parts that come into contact with food should be thoroughly cleaned. This involves washing the bread pan, kneading paddles, measuring cup, and spoon with warm water and mild detergent. The interior of the baking chamber should be wiped with a damp cloth. It is recommended to run the "BAKE" program for 10 minutes with 200ml of water in the bread pan to eliminate any manufacturing odors.

To operate the bread maker:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Measure all ingredients accurately using the provided measuring cup and spoon. Always add liquid ingredients first, followed by dry ingredients, and finally yeast. Ensure yeast does not come into direct contact with liquid or salt.
  2. Place Ingredients: Insert the kneading paddles into the bread pan, then add the measured ingredients according to the recipe.
  3. Insert Bread Pan: Place the bread pan into the main body of the bread maker and close the lid.
  4. Select Program: Press the MENU button (1) to cycle through the 15 available programs until the desired program is selected.
  5. Select Loaf Size: Press the LOAF SIZE button (2) to choose the desired bread weight (1000g, 1250g, or 1500g).
  6. Select Crust Color: Press the COLOR button (5) to choose the preferred crust color (Light, Medium, or Dark).
  7. Set Delay Timer (Optional): If a delayed start is desired, use the TIMER +/- buttons (3) to set the delay time. The total time displayed includes the baking time.
  8. Start Baking: Press the START/PAUSE/STOP button (4) to begin the selected program. The display will show the remaining time.
  9. Pause/Stop: To pause the program, press the START/PAUSE/STOP button (4) once. To stop the program completely, press and hold the START/PAUSE/STOP button (4) for 2 seconds.
  10. After Baking: Once the program finishes, the machine will beep, and the "Keep Warm" function will activate for 60 minutes. To remove the bread, unplug the device, open the lid, and carefully remove the bread pan using oven mitts. Allow the bread to cool for 15 minutes in the pan before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and proper functioning of the Mesko MS 6022 bread maker.

  • Cleaning Before First Use: As mentioned in usage, all food-contact parts must be thoroughly cleaned.
  • Daily Cleaning:
    • Bread Pan and Kneading Paddles: After each use, fill the bread pan with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Let it soak for 30 minutes to loosen any residue, then clean with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads. The bread pan and kneading paddles are not dishwasher safe.
    • Appliance Body: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
    • Lid and Viewing Window: Clean the lid and viewing window with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used.
  • Removing Stuck Kneading Paddles: If the kneading paddles are difficult to remove from the bread, fill the bread pan with warm water and let it soak for a period. This will soften any baked-on dough, making removal easier. Use the provided hook to carefully remove the paddles.
  • Storage: Ensure the appliance is clean, dry, and cool before storing. Store it in a dry, well-ventilated place.
  • Power Cord: Periodically check the power cord for any damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service professional to avoid hazards.
  • Ventilation Openings: Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of any obstructions to prevent overheating.

By following these guidelines, users can ensure safe and effective operation of the Mesko MS 6022 bread maker for many years.
