Troubleshooting:
The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues:
- Vehicle does not run: Possible causes include low battery, tripped thermal fuse, loose battery connectors/wires, dead battery, damaged electrical system, or damaged motor. Solutions involve recharging, resetting the fuse, checking connections, or contacting the distributor.
- Vehicle does not run very long: Possible causes include undercharged battery or old battery. Solutions involve recharging or replacing the battery.
- Vehicle runs sluggishly: Possible causes include low battery, old battery, or vehicle overload. Solutions involve recharging, replacing the battery, or reducing weight on the vehicle.
- Vehicle needs a push to go forward: Possible causes include poor contact of wires/connectors or a "dead spot" on the motor. Solutions involve checking connections or contacting the distributor for repair.
- Difficult shifting from forward to reverse or vice-versa: This usually occurs when attempting to shift while the vehicle is in motion. The solution is to completely stop the vehicle before shifting.
- Loud grinding or clicking noises from motor or gear box: Indicates damaged motor or gears. Contact the distributor.
- Battery will not recharge: Possible causes include loose battery/adapter connector, charger not plugged in, or a faulty charger. Solutions involve checking connections, ensuring the charger is plugged into a working outlet, or contacting the distributor.
- Charger feels warm when recharging: This is normal and not a cause for concern.
Maintenance Features:
- Parents are responsible for regularly checking main parts of the toy for potential hazards, such as the battery, charger, cable or cord, plug, screws, and other fastenings. If damage is found, the toy must not be used until properly repaired.
- Ensure plastic parts of the vehicle are not cracked or broken.
- Occasionally use a lightweight oil to lubricate moving parts like wheels.
- Park the vehicle indoors or cover it with a tarp to protect it from wet weather.
- Keep the vehicle away from heat sources like stoves and heaters, as plastic parts may melt.
- Recharge the battery after each use. Only an adult should handle the battery. Recharge the battery at least once a month when the vehicle is not being used.
- Do not wash the vehicle with a hose, soap, or water. Do not drive in rainy or snowy weather, as water can damage the motor, electric system, and battery.
- Clean the vehicle with a soft, dry cloth. Use a non-wax furniture polish to restore shine to plastic parts; do not use car wax or abrasive cleaners.
- Do not drive the vehicle in loose dirt, sand, or fine gravel, which could damage moving parts, motors, or the electric system.
- When not in use, turn off all electrical sources and disconnect the battery connection.
Fuse:
The battery features a thermal fuse that automatically trips and cuts all power if the motor, electric system, or battery is overloaded. The fuse resets and power is restored after the unit is turned OFF for 20 seconds and then turned ON again. If the thermal fuse trips repeatedly, the vehicle may need repair; contact the distributor.
To avoid losing power, follow these guidelines:
- Do not overload the vehicle.
- Do not tow anything behind the vehicle.
- Do not drive up steep slopes.
- Do not drive into fixed objects, which may cause wheels to spin and the motor to overheat.
- Do not drive in very hot weather, as components may overheat.
- Do not allow water or other liquids to contact the battery or other electric components.
- Do not tamper with the electric system, as this may cause a short and trip the fuse.
Disposal of Battery:
- The sealed lead-acid battery must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
- Do not dispose of the lead-acid battery in a fire, as it may explode or leak.
- Do not dispose of the lead-acid battery in regular household trash. Incineration, landfilling, or mixing sealed lead-acid batteries with household trash is prohibited by law.
The products are suitable for ASTM F963; GB6675; EN71 and EN62115 standards.
