Overview
Toavoidpersonalinjuriesduetothelossof
vehiclecontrol,donotadjusttheseatswhile
thecarismoving.
Thecarisequippedwith6-wayor4-wayadjustablefront
seatsandindependentrearseats.
Anidealpositionoftheseatshouldmakesureyourdriving
positioniscomfortable,whichallowsyoutoholdthe
steeringwheelwithyourarmsandlegsslightlybentand
controlalltheequipment.Takecarewhenadjustingthe
heightofthefrontseat-thefeetoftherearpassenger
couldbecometrappedwhentheseatislowered.
DoNotinclinethefront-seatbackresttoofartotherear.
Optimumbenetisobtainedfromtheseatbeltwiththe
backrestanglesettoapproximately25°fromtheupright
(vertical).Thedriverandfrontpassengerseatsshouldbe
positionedasfarrearwardaspractical.Aproperlyadjusted
seathelpsreducetheriskofinjuryfromsittingtooclose
toaninatingairbag.
HeadRestraints
Adjusttheheightoftheheadrestraintsothat
thetopofitisinlinewiththetopofthe
occupant'shead.Thislocationmayreduce
theriskofheadandneckinjuriesintheevent
ofacollision.Donotadjustorremovethe
headrestraintswhilethecarismoving.
Donothanganythingonanyheadrestraint
orheadrestraintrod.
Theheadrestraintisdesignedtopreventrearward
movementoftheheadintheeventofacollisionor
emergencybraking,therebyreducingtheriskofheadand
neckinjuries.
