Whenautoholdstopsthevehicleforreasons
suchasenginecutout,releasingtheseat
beltorpressingtheautoholdswitch,the
electronicparkingbrakeisapplied.It
cannotbeguaranteedthatthevehiclewill
bestabilisedinallcases.Forexample,the
rearwheelsareonaslipperyroadsurface,
orthevehicleinclineistoogreat(largerthan
20%).Pleasemakesurethatthevehicleis
safelystabilisedpriortoexiting.
DONOTtakeanyextrariskswhendriving
duetothefactthevehicleisttedwith
additionalconveniencefunctions.Always
observethesurroundingsandadjustyour
speedanddrivingstylestosuitvisibility,
weatherandtrafcconditions.
Theautoholdfunctioncannotguaranteethe
stabilityofthevehiclewhenstartingoffor
brakingonhillsespeciallyonslipperyoricy
surfaces.
DONOTleavethevehiclewhentheengine
isoperatingandtheautoholdisactive.
Autoholdcannotguaranteetheelectronic
parkingbrakeoperationinallcaseswhere
theengineisstopped.Pleaseensurethe
electronicparkingbrakeisappliedpriorto
exitingthevehicle.
Theautoholdfunctionshouldbeswitchedof
duringtheuseofautomaticcarwashes,the
electronicparkingbrakemaysuddenlyapply
andcausevehicledamage.
Ifthevehicleisrequiredtostopfrequentlyforalength
oftime(suchastrafclights,trafcqueuesorstop/start),
andtheengineisrunning,theautoholdsystemassistsin
stabilisingthevehicle,enablingyoutoremoveyourfoot
fromthebrakepedalwhenthevehicleisstationaryand
theAutoHoldactive.
Whentheautoholdsystemisactive,pressingthe
acceleratorwillreleasethebrakeswhenpullingaway.
