The MicRadar R60AMP1 is a 60GHz millimeter wave bio-sensing radar module designed for multi-person trajectory tracking. This module is based on a one-shot three-receiver antenna configuration, utilizing algorithms to control a specific angular range. It accurately scans real-time direction and distance changes of multiple targets, refreshing three-dimensional data within its effective field of view (FOV).
The R60AMP1 radar module is capable of detecting multiple target states, providing real-time angle changes and distance information simultaneously. It offers real-time multi-target trajectory tracking within a defined detection range and can lock onto the coordinate positions of stationary personnel.
Key working characteristics of this radar module include:
The R60AMP1 radar module is suitable for a variety of applications, particularly in home appliance linkage and security management.

Security Management Application:
Installation Method: The recommended installation method for this radar module is horizontal. This method is primarily aimed at detecting target positions of individuals who are walking or sitting still, making it suitable for environments like living rooms or for integration into home appliances. The recommended installation height for the radar is between 1 to 1.5 meters, with the radar installed horizontally and facing forward. The installation inclination should be within ±5°. It is important to ensure that there are no obvious obstructions or coverings directly in front of the radar. The normal direction of the radar should be aligned with the main detection position to ensure that the main beam of the radar antenna covers the detection area and the human activity airspace.
Working Range: The radar module's beam covers a three-dimensional sector area of 100° horizontally and 100° in elevation. The radar's working distance is relatively long in the normal direction of the antenna surface but becomes shorter as the distance from the antenna's normal direction increases. When the radar is installed horizontally, the range of action may be reduced due to the radar beam range and effective radiation space, which should be considered during use.
Multiplayer Tracking Mode: In this mode, the radar module provides real-time information on the position changes of each tracked person within its detection area. It processes statistical analysis to comprehensively evaluate the real-time position status of personnel and the number of people, providing direct results to users. The main state includes real-time output of multi-target personnel location data.
Power Supply Requirements: Radar modules have higher power quality requirements compared to conventional low-frequency circuits. The power supply to the module must be free of threshold glitches or ripples, and noise from accessory equipment should be effectively shielded. Proper grounding of the radar module is crucial. Ground noise from other circuits can degrade performance or cause abnormal operation, leading to issues like shortened detection distance or increased false alarm rates. To ensure normal operation of the internal VCO circuit, the power supply should be +5V to +6V, with a voltage ripple of less than or equal to 100mV. The external power supply must also provide sufficient current output capability and transient response capability.
Start-up Time: When the module is initially powered on, it requires a stabilization time of at least 30 seconds. This period allows the internal circuit to completely reset and for the module to fully evaluate environmental noise, ensuring normal operation and the validity of subsequent output parameters.
Effective Detection Distance: The effective detection distance of the radar module is influenced by the target's Radar Cross-Section (RCS) and environmental factors. Therefore, the effective detection distance may vary with changes in the environment and the target. Since this module does not currently have a ranging function, fluctuations in the effective detection distance within a certain range are considered normal.
Radar Biodetection Performance: Human biometrics involve ultra-low frequency and weak reflection signals, requiring a relatively long accumulation process for radar processing. During this accumulation, various factors can affect radar parameters, so occasional detection failures are a normal phenomenon.
Product Packaging: The module has a compact size of 35mm × 31mm × 7.5mm. It features a 2.0mm pitch interface with double rows of pins, including two sets of interfaces (23 and 24 pins).
