  If your MicroMic Microphone isn't producing any sound, there are several potential causes. First, ensure that the power to both the mixer and amplifier are switched on. Also, check that the channel or master fader on the mixer, or the volume control on the amplifier, isn't set to zero; adjust them to the desired level. Verify that the microphone is properly connected to the mixer or amplifier and that all cable connectors are securely seated. A defective cable could also be the culprit, so inspect it and replace if necessary. Finally, make sure phantom power is switched on and that there is supply voltage. Connect to a power outlet or insert batteries, and check the cable.

  If you're experiencing distortion with your MicroMic Microphone, it could be due to the gain control on the mixer being set too high. Try turning the gain control down counter-clockwise. Alternatively, the mixer input sensitivity might be too high; in this case, connect a 10-dB preattenuation pad between the microphone cable and the input.
