3. Activation and operation
When the battery is first connected, the MLRTPS will immediately activate and send a Join Request to the gateway
(see picture).
2 MLRTPS Battery Connected
First acoustic signal (and 1x LED): confirms successful activation.
Double acoustic signal (and 2x LED): confirms successful connection join to the gateway.
Normal operation: For the first 5 minutes after activation the device will communicate every 10 seconds. Thereafter
the device communicates in a fixed radio communication interval (5 minutes).
Failure: Long acoustic signals indicate failed operations.
Remark join failure: Gateway or device credentials not configured Multitech MTCAP Gateway.
Repeat the process with 4. RESET
