Customize your Surface Dial
1. Complete set up (above).
2. On your Surface, open the Start menu and select Settings.
3. Select System > About. Ensure your Surface is running Windows version
1607 or higher.
4. Return to Settings. Select Devices > Wheel.
5. Select desired options from the drop down menus to add shortcuts to
your custom tool.
Set up your Surface Dial
1. Make sure your Surface is powered on.
2. Open the Start menu and select Settings.
3. Select Devices > Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth On.
4. On your Surface Dial, pull the bottom to open the battery compartment.
Ensure there are two AAA batteries installed.
5. Remove the battery tab from the underside of your Surface Dial.
6. Press and hold the button by the batteries until the LED flashes to turn
on Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED is located opposite the button on
the other side of the batteries.
7. Select Surface Dial in the list of Bluetooth
devices in Settings, then select Pair.
8. Remove the protective film from your
Surface Dial. It is ready to be used.
