Why is my Midea PAT14H2ZWT Air Conditioner cooling, but the room is too warm?
    • M
      Michael MooreAug 14, 2025
Several factors can cause your Midea Air Conditioner to cool, but leave the room too warm without ice forming. The air filter might be dirty, restricting airflow, so clean it. The set temperature could be too high, so lower it. Improperly positioned air directional louvers can also be the cause, adjust them for better air distribution. Obstructions like drapes or furniture in front of the unit can restrict air distribution, so remove any blockage. Open doors, windows, or registers can let cold air escape, so close them. Finally, if the unit was recently turned on in a hot room, allow additional time for it to remove stored heat from walls, ceiling, floor, and furniture.

Why does my Midea PAT14H2ZWT turn on and off rapidly?
    • W
      wleAug 18, 2025
If your Midea Air Conditioner turns on and off rapidly, the air filter might be dirty, clean the air filter. Also, if the outside temperature is extremely hot, set the FAN speed to a higher setting to bring air past cooling coils more frequently.

Why does the air from my Midea Air Conditioner not feel cold enough?
    • J
      Joel SmithAug 21, 2025
If the air from your Midea Air Conditioner doesn't feel cold enough, it could be because the room temperature is below 62°F (17°C). Cooling may not occur until the room temperature rises above this level. Also, the temperature sensing behind the air filter element might be touching the cold coil, keep it away from the cold coil. You might need to set to a lower temperature. If the compressor stopped when changing modes, wait for 3 minutes after setting to the COOL mode.

What causes noise when my Midea PAT14H2ZWT Air Conditioner is cooling?
    • A
      Ashley DanielAug 25, 2025
If your Midea Air Conditioner is making noise when cooling, it could be due to air movement, which is normal, but if it's too loud, set to a slower FAN setting. It could also be window vibration due to poor installation, refer to installation instructions or check with the installer.

Why is water dripping inside my Midea PAT14H2ZWT when it's cooling?
    • I
      Ivan SmithAug 27, 2025
If water is dripping INSIDE when your Midea Air Conditioner is cooling, it is due to improper installation. Tilt the air conditioner slightly to the outside to allow water drainage. Refer to the installation instructions or check with the installer.

Why is the remote sensing deactivating prematurely on my Midea Air Conditioner?
    • D
      Douglas NelsonAug 31, 2025
If the Remote Sensing is deactivating prematurely on your Midea Air Conditioner (some models), the remote control might not be located within range, place the remote control within 20 feet & 180° radius of the front of the unit. Also, the remote control signal might be obstructed, remove any obstruction.

How to fix a Midea PAT14H2ZWT Air Conditioner that does not start?
    • S
      Steven EsparzaSep 3, 2025
Your Midea Air Conditioner might not be starting because the wall plug is disconnected, push it firmly into the wall outlet. A house fuse might be blown, or the circuit breaker tripped, replace the fuse with a time delay type or reset the circuit breaker. The Plug Current Device might be tripped, press the RESET button. Or, the power might be OFF, turn the power ON.

What to do if Midea PAT14H2ZWT Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
    • M
      Michael WilliamsonSep 7, 2025
If your Midea Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, it could be due to several reasons. The outdoor temperature might be below 64°F (18°C), set FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil. The air filter may be dirty, clean the filter and set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost. The thermostat might be set too cold for night-time cooling, set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil, then set the temperature to a higher setting.
