Function Description

The Midea YBD15D1 is a handheld garment steamer designed for ironing clothes. It uses high-temperature steam to remove wrinkles from garments. The appliance features two steam power settings: high power and low power, selectable via dedicated buttons. A pilot light indicates the operational status, including warm-up and power settings. The device is intended for domestic use and should not be used for purposes other than ironing clothes.

The device incorporates safety features such as temperature detection protection and thermal fuse protection. The temperature sensor cuts off the heating element if the temperature rises abnormally, ensuring the device operates within a safe range. If the temperature sensor fails, a thermal fuse will disconnect the power to prevent accidents.

Usage Features

Preparation Work:

Hang the garment to be ironed.
Add water to the water tank. To prolong the product's service life, it is recommended to use purified or distilled water. Ensure the water cap is tightened to prevent leaks.
Place the water tank back into the main body of the steamer and power on the device.

Turning On and Ironing:

Upon powering on, the green indicator light will flash for approximately 40 seconds during the warm-up phase. Once the green indicator light remains steady without flashing, the steamer is ready for use.
Press the steam button to start steaming.
The blue light indicates low power steam, while the red light indicates high power steam.
To stop the steam, press the steam button again.

Accessories: The steamer comes with a brush attachment (x1). The fur brush is buckled into the ironing head, with the buckle at the upper end fastening tightly to the bulge at the top of the ironing head. It can be removed in the reverse direction. Users are advised to mount or remove the fur brush only when the ironing head is cooled to avoid scald burn risk.

Safety Cautions during Use:

Never use the appliance for any purpose other than ironing clothes.
Avoid using other high-power electric appliances on the same socket to prevent circuit overload.
Do not dismantle or repair the appliance yourself; this should only be done by qualified personnel or authorized repair agencies.
Always check the plug and power cord for damage before use. If damaged, replacement must be conducted by the manufacturer or its service agent.

Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent.
The iron must not be left unattended while connected to the supply mains.
The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before filling the water reservoir.
The iron must be used and rested on a flat, stable surface.
Do not use the iron if it has been dropped, shows visible signs of damage, or is leaking.
Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age when energized or cooling down.
When moving the iron, hold the body, not the power cord.
Do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.

Maintenance Features

Care and Cleaning:

Do not clean the device with strong volatile solvents.
Do not put chemicals into the water tank.
Place the water tank back and store the product in a designated area.
Do not soak the product in water or other solutions for washing.
Do not put vinegar, liquid detergent, saline solution, or other chemicals into the water tank.

Maintenance Steps:

Unplug the power cord if the appliance will not be used for a long time.
After each use, drain the water from the water tank and place it back into the main body of the device.
Wipe the device's surface with a wet towel to remove dust.

Disposal: The appliance must not be disposed of with regular household waste. At the end of its service life, it should be delivered to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
