The
Cooker
Hood
may
be
used
for
vented
or
non-vented
operation.
Vented
Operation
CAUTION:
To
reduce
the
risk
of
fire
and
to
properly
exhaust
air,
be
sure
lo
duct
air
to
the
outside.
Do
not
vent
exhaust
air
into
spaces
within
walls
or
ceilings
or
into
attics,
crawl
spaces,
oF
garages.
The
cooking
fumes
are
filtered
through
the
grease
filter
and
extracted
to
the
outside.
Non-vented
Operation
The
cooking
fumes
are
filtered
through
the
grease
filter
with
addi-
tional
charcoal
filters
and
channelled
back
into
the
kitchen
via
the
upper
part
of
the
kitchen
cabinet.

The
unit
is
set
up
by
the
factory
for
vented
operation.
@
The
unit
is
provided
with
a
non-
return
flap.
When
not
in
use
the
Cooker
Hood's
non-return
flap
is
closed,
so
that
no
exchange
of
air
from
the
outside
and
ihe
room
can
take
place.
A
few
seconds
after
turning
on
the
unit
the
non-return
flap
opens
and
fumes
are
channelled
to
the
outside.
Mains
Supply
In
case
of
malfunctioning
shut
off
cir-
cuit
breaker
as
the
plug
may
be
dif-
ficult
to
reach.

Turn
Cooker
Hood's
mains
supply
off
when
servicing
(changing
or
cleaning
of
filter
etc.,
or
when
not
in
use
for
prolonged
time).
Switch
for
Cook
Top
Lights
These
can
be
used
independently
from
the
Cooker
Hood
operation.
Power
Control
Determines
level
of
air
flow:
#
1
=
low
#5
=
high
Fume
Deflector
When
main
switch
is
"ON"
and
the
fume
deflector
is
pulled
out
the
unit
will
start
automatically
When
front
burners
of
the
coox
top
are
in
use
or
larger
accumulations
of
fumes
have
to
be
extracted
the
fume
deflector
should
be
pulled
out
all
the
way.
Oth-
erwise
it
is
sufficient
to
pull
out
the
deflector
only
slightly.
