Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected with-
out calling in a Miele service technician, thus saving you both time and money.
You should, however, note the following:
Repairs should only be carried out by a suitably qualified and trained person in
accordance with local and national safety regulations. Unauthorised or incor-
rect repairs could cause personal injury or damage the machine.
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The “Start” indicator
light does not come on
after the machine has
been switched on using
the “On/Off” button.
The door is not properly
closed.
Close the door firmly.
The machine is not
plugged in.
Insert the plug.
The fuse is defective or
has tripped.
Replace the fuse
(U.K. fuse rating = 13 A).
The dishwasher does
not start, after the
“Start” button has been
pressed; the “Start”
indicator light comes on
The programme selector
is at the “Stop” position.
Turn the programme
selector to the required
programme,
Press the “Start” button.
The dishwasher stops
during a programme
The fuse has tripped. Replace the fuse
(U.K. fuse rating = 13 A).
