- Water Softener Management: Requires dishwasher salt for optimal performance. Users must program the dishwasher to their local water hardness level (0.2 to 12.6 mmol/l or 1 to 70 °d). The salt reservoir holds approximately 2 kg of salt. A salt refill reminder (S) indicates when refilling is needed.
- Rinse Aid Management: Rinse aid is stored in a reservoir (approx. 110 ml capacity) and dispensed automatically to prevent water marks and aid drying. A rinse aid reminder (*) signals when to refill. Dosage can be adjusted from 0 to 6.
- Loading Flexibility:
- Upper Basket: Adjustable on three levels with 2 cm increments, and can be tilted. Suitable for small, lightweight, and delicate items, as well as shallow pans. Features a cup rack for additional support.

Maintenance Features
- Filter System: The dishwasher has a filter combination in the wash cabinet base that retains coarse soil. Filters should be checked and cleaned regularly (every 4-6 months) to prevent clogging. Instructions are provided for disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling the filter combination.
- Spray Arms: Food particles can get stuck in the spray arm jets and bearings. Spray arms should be inspected and cleaned regularly (every 4-6 months). Instructions include removing and cleaning the upper, middle, and lower spray arms.
- Door and Door Seal: Mould can build up on these surfaces as they are outside the wash cabinet's spray area. Regular wiping with a damp cloth is recommended.
- Wash Cabinet: Largely self-cleaning with correct detergent use. Limescale or grease deposits can be removed with Miele DishClean conditioning agent.
- Water Inlet Filter: A filter in the screw connection of the water inlet hose valve must be cleaned if water flow is insufficient. Instructions detail how to disconnect the dishwasher, turn off the tap, remove, clean, and reattach the filter.
