Why MIG-O-MAT Soldering Gun unit switches off with 'Excess temperature' warning?
    • A
      Antonio AndersonAug 3, 2025
The unit overheats, causing it to shut down and display an 'Excess temperature' warning. To resolve this, close the burner valve, put the unit in stand-by by pressing the on/off key, and wait for the ventilator to cool the unit.

What to do if my MIG-O-MAT Soldering Gun doesn't produce gas and the gas pressure doesn't match the set value?
    • D
      Danny JenningsAug 9, 2025
If your unit doesn't produce gas, and the gas pressure reading is incorrect, there may be a leak. Switch off the unit at the mains, then retighten any loose screw connections and replace washers if needed. Also, check the glasses for leaks and ensure the O-rings are correctly mounted. If the hose system inside the unit is leaky, switch off the unit, pull the mains plug, open the unit, and check if the hose connections sit tightly. Retighten loose connections. If necessary contact the Technical Support.

Why MIG-O-MAT Soldering Gun flame is unstable?
    • J
      Jasmine MyersAug 15, 2025
An unstable flame can be caused by a choked nozzle. Clean or replace the nozzle to resolve this. Another cause is the vaporizer liquid has been consumed. Completely exchange the vaporizer liquid, clean the glass.

What to do if my MIG-O-MAT Soldering Gun produces too little gas?
    • J
      jonathan61Aug 21, 2025
If the unit produces too little gas, and the actual value goes down, first check for gas leaks. Find the leaks at the connections (daub with foam-building media) and retighten connections or replace the washers. If you cannot find any leak contact your supplier or the manufacturer. Also, check the filling level in the reactor and refill demineralized water until the glass floating body is level with the edge of the filling duct.

What to do if my MIG-O-MAT Soldering Gun doesn't produce gas but the pressure is correct?
    • M
      Maria NicholsAug 27, 2025
If the unit does not produce gas even though the actual pressure corresponds with the set pressure value, the gas route in one or more components is choked. Exchange the choked components, such as the burner nozzle, filter cartridge, sintered cone in vaporizer glass, backfire protection, or handle of burner hand piece.
