INSTALLING THE
BACK
Open
the
camera's regular
back,
push
down on its release
Jin,
and remove
back.
Insert the Data
Back
DB-7's/DB-3's
lower
hinge
pin
into
camera's lower
eyelet.
Then
push
down
on release
pin,
align upper hinge
pin
with the upper
eyelet,
and
r+lease
pin.

Before
loading film,
close the back
and
check
whether the electrical
contacts
mate
properly.
To
check, select date or
tlme
mode
and
press
operating button
to
release
shutter.
When contacts mate
properly,
"PRlNT" will
blink
for
about
2
l-
Ir
t
seconds.
NOTE
o
lf the
DB-7IDB-3 does not
open or
close
smoothly,
or
if
it does not operate
properly,
do not
attempt to repair it
yourself.
Contact
your
nearest
authorized
Minolta
service
facility for
instructions
on
how
to
get
it repaired.
POWER
One-3-volt
lithium
battery
(CR
2025
or equivalent)
powers
the clock, liquid-
crystal
display,
and data imprinter.
This battery
is installed
at the
factory
and
should
last
approximately four
years
with normal use.
SETTING
DATA
Press
SELECT
button
to choose which data
to change.
The
first
time
SELECT
button is
pressed,
the
colon starts blinking.
Press
ADJUST
button
to synchronize
the
seconds to another
time
source.
Each
time
SELECT
button
is
pressed,
the figures
that can
be
changed
will begin
blinking.
Press
ADJUST
button
to change
the
figures.
After
both time
and
date
are set,
press
MODE
button to return
to imprint mode.

When
synchronizing
the seconds,
the minute
will
not change
if the clock
is
between
0 and 29 seconds. lt
will
advance to the next
minute if it is
between 30
and 59 seconds.

In 12-hour format,
"A" indicates
a.m.
and"P"
indicates
p.m
In 24-hour
format,
13:15, for
example,
indicates
as 1
:15
p.m.
