Switching meter on and off
To activate the metering system, move the
index of the battery switch to "ON." This will
cause the meter needle in the finder to move if
there are sufficient light and battery power.
When not using the camera, it is advisable to
turn the switch index to the "OFF" position to
prevent needless battery drain.

The metering system is also switched off
when the stop-down button is at its stop-down
position with an MC lens mounted on the
camera.
