operation

automatic
mode

indicated
by
the
indention
on the
left side
of
the shutter-speed
scale.
When
the
needle
moves above
or below
this
indention, cor-
rect
exposure
will
not be
obtained,
and
the
aperture
or
other
conditions
should be
adjusted
so
that
it
points
to a
value
within
the coupled
range.

provide
more
or
less
expo-
sure
on automatic
mode,
see
page47.
Eyepiece
shutter
For
remote
or u
nmanned operation
or
when
the camera
is set on a
support and used
without
viewing
on
automatac mode,
be
sure to rotate
the lever at the
left
rear
on
the
finder
as
indi-
cated
to close
the
eyepiece
shutter.
This will
prevent
unwanted
light
from entering through
the eyepiece
and
affecting
the
meter
reading
and
exposure
when
the eyepiece
is
not
being
shielded
by the
photographer's
head,
as
it
normally
would
be.
