Function Description:

The primary function of the Mio Amore carseat is to provide a safe and secure environment for infants during car travel. It is installed in the vehicle facing the rear, ensuring the child's face is oriented towards the rear of the vehicle's driving direction. The car seat features a 3-point harness system to secure the child, with adjustable shoulder belt height and crotch belt position to accommodate the child's growth. The handle is also adjustable to different positions for transport, support (for putting the child in or out), and storage.

• Shoulder Belt Height Adjustment: The CS128 harness has two height positions. The top of the shoulder belt should be parallel to or slightly higher than the child's shoulders to provide effective protection in a collision. Adjustment involves relaxing the harness, separating the buckle tongues, inserting them through different slots at the front and rear of the seat, and then reassembling the buckle.
• Crotch Belt Adjustment: The crotch belt is initially in the inner slot. If it becomes too tight, it can be adjusted to the outer slot by lifting a metal part, pulling it through, and reinserting it into the desired slot.
• Seat Installation in Vehicle:
  1. Place the child seat on the rear seat of the vehicle, ensuring the bottom of the seat is flat against the vehicle seat surface and the front of the seat touches the vehicle seat backrest.
  2. Extend the vehicle belt and insert it through the front slot of the car seat, then through the slot on the other side.
  3. Insert the vehicle buckle tongue (12) into the vehicle buckle (13) until a "click" is heard.
  4. Insert the diagonal belt into the rear slot (19) of the CS128.
  5. Pull the diagonal belt at the top of the vehicle buckle to tighten the belt.
  6. Pull the diagonal belt at the top of the seat as indicated by the arrow to make it as tight as possible.
  7. Always check that the child seat is stable and tight enough on the vehicle seat.
• Securing the Child:
  1. Relax the harness by pressing the center adjuster button (10) and pulling back the shoulder belt (3).
  2. Relax the buckle by pushing the release button (23) on the buckle, causing the buckle tongue (24) to jump out. Place the harness to both sides of the seat.
  3. Place the child in the seat, ensuring the buckle (22) is in front of the child's crotch. Guide the child's arms through the shoulder belts (3), making sure the shoulder belt and shoulder pad are just on top of the child's shoulder.
  4. Reassemble the buckle by inserting the buckle tongues into the buckle housing until a "click" is heard.
  5. Pull back the adjust belt (7) to tighten the harness. Ensure there is no more than a finger's width between the harness and the child. The lap strap should be worn low down to firmly engage the pelvis.
• Safety Warnings:
  • Read the entire instruction manual thoroughly before installation.
  • Improper installation can endanger the child.
  • Do not make adjustments while driving.
  • Only suitable for vehicles fitted with 3-point retractor safety-belts.
  • Rigid items and plastic parts must not be trapped by movable seats or vehicle doors.
  • Do not use on a passenger seat with a frontal airbag due to injury risk.
  • Straps holding the restraint to the vehicle and restraining the child must be tight and untwisted.
  • The lap strap must be worn low down to firmly engage the pelvis.
  • The child restraint system must be replaced after an accident involving violent stresses.
  • Do not alter or add to the device without approval.
  • Keep the chair away from direct sunlight to prevent it from becoming too hot for the child's skin.
  • Never leave the child unattended in the restraint system.
  • Secure any luggage or objects that could cause injury in a collision.
  • Do not use the child restraint without its cover.
  • The seat cover must only be replaced with one recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Ensure the car seat is positioned correctly to avoid jamming under or between movable seats or in the vehicle door.
  • If there is interference between the adult safety-belt buckle and the child restraint system, contact the manufacturer.
  • Do not use load-bearing contact points other than those described and marked in the instructions.
  • Always use rear seats for installation, even if highway code permits front seat use, as it is safer.
  • If the car manufacturer allows child restraint systems on the passenger seat, move the seat to the furthest back position.

Maintenance Features:

• Removing and Replacing the Cover: The fabric cover can be removed for washing by releasing plastic clips and pulling it out from the fringe of the seat. It must be reassembled to its original state after washing. The child restraint must not be used without the cover, and the cover should only be replaced with one recommended by the manufacturer. Avoid frequent washing.
• Fabric Care: Wash fabric at temperatures less than 30°C. Dry naturally.
• Belt and Plastic Care: Wash with warm water and mild soap. Do not use solvents or high-potency soap. Do not remove, move, or change the original fabric or any part of the harness.
• Buckle Care: Regularly check for food debris or other matter in the harness buckle. Clean with warm water if necessary. A "click" sound indicates normal buckle function.
• After an Accident: After an accident with an impact speed greater than 10 km/h, the child restraint system must be sent back to the manufacturer for inspection and possible replacement at no charge if deemed necessary.
• Warranty: A two-year warranty is provided against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. A receipt is required for all claims. The warranty covers systems handled properly and returned in a clean, orderly condition. It does not cover normal wear and tear, damage due to unreasonable or improper usage, or fabric fading due to UV radiation (which is considered normal wear and tear).
