Why is my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C heating system not reaching the set temperature?
    • M
      Mary MarshallJul 31, 2025
If your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump's heating system isn't reaching the set temperature, check if a prohibit, schedule, or holiday mode is active. Adjust the settings as needed. Also, the room with the temperature sensor might be at a different temperature than the rest of the house, so consider repositioning the sensor. If you are using wireless control, check and replace the battery if needed.

Why isn't my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C cooling system reaching the set temperature?
    • L
      Lindsay BestAug 3, 2025
If your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump's cooling system isn't cooling down to the set temperature (ONLY for ERSC(D) and ERST20C(D) models), it could be due to a delay at the start of cooling mode to protect the outdoor unit when the water in the circulation circuit is unduly hot. This is normal operation. Also, when the outdoor ambient temperature is significantly low, cooling mode does not start running to avoid freezing of the water pipes.

What to do if an error code appears on my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C?
    • C
      Chris MaxwellAug 8, 2025
If an error code appears on your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump's main remote controller display, it indicates an abnormal condition reported by either the indoor or outdoor unit. Note the error code number and contact your installer for assistance.

What to do if water discharges from the relief valves of my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C?
    • L
      lisa02Aug 12, 2025
If water discharges from one of the relief valves of your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump, it means the system has likely overheated or is overpressurized. Immediately switch off the power to the heat pump and any immersion heaters, then contact your installer.

Why is my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C Heat Pump relief valve dripping?
    • N
      Natalie HenryAug 17, 2025
If you notice small amounts of water dripping from one of the relief valves of your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump, dirt may be preventing a tight seal. Twist the valve cap in the indicated direction until you hear a click to release a small amount of water, flushing out any dirt. Be careful, as the released water will be hot. If the valve continues to drip, the rubber seal may be damaged and need replacing, so contact your installer.

Why is the water cold at the taps with my Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump?
    • W
      wilsonannAug 21, 2025
If you are experiencing cold water at the taps when using a Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump with a DHW tank, first check your schedule settings and adjust them if necessary. If that's not the issue, it's possible all the hot water from the DHW tank has been used; ensure the DHW mode is operating and wait for the tank to reheat.
  • M
    michelle81Aug 25, 2025
Why is my Mitsubishi Electric EHST20C- VM2C heating emitter hot in DHW mode?
    • S
      scott44Aug 26, 2025
If the heating emitter is hot in DHW mode, causing the room temperature to rise with your Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump, it may be because the 3-way valve has foreign objects in it, or hot water may be flowing to the heating side due to malfunctions.
