3. For 8 years or 80,000 odometer miles, whichever
occurs first, the Federal Emission Warranty also
applies to Vehicles registered in California, Massachu-
setts, Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island and
Pennsylvania:
If an emission-related part listed in this warranty book-
let specially noted with coverage for 8 years or 80,000
odometer miles is defective, the part will be repaired or
replaced by MMNA. This is your Long Term (2) emis-
sion control system PERFORMANCE and DEFECTS
WARRANTY.
4. For the 2008 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4 L PZEV model, Out-
lander 3.0 L PZEV model and Lancer 2.0 L PZEV
model, all emissions defects and performance warran-
ties are extended to 15 years or 150,000 miles, which-
ever occurs first.
OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Vehicle owner, you are responsible for the perfor-
mance of the required maintenance listed in this booklet.
MMNA recommends that you retain all receipts covering
maintenance on your Vehicle. Coverage will not be denied
solely because there is no record of maintenance. How-
ever, failures caused by lack of required maintenance are
not covered by the warranty.
You are responsible for presenting your Vehicle to an
Authorized Mitsubishi Motors Dealer or Authorized Service
Center as soon as a problem exists.
The warranty repairs should be completed in a reasonable
amount of time, not to exceed 30 days.
As the Vehicle owner, you should also be aware that
MMNA may deny you warranty coverage if your Vehicle or
a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper mainte-
nance or unapproved modifications.

WARRANTY START DATE:
The 3-year/50,000-odometer mile, 5-year/60,000-odometer
mile, 7-year/70,000-odometer mile, 8-year/80,000-odome-
ter mile and 15-year/150,000-odometer mile warranty peri-
ods shall begin on the date of original retail delivery or
original use, whichever occurs first.
