Inputcurrenttotheconverterismonitoredwiththecurrentsensorxedontheprintedcircuitboardoftheoutdoorunit
and,iftheoperationcurrentvaluereachesthelimitingcurrentvalue,thecompressorspeedisreduced.
(ii)Ifthemechanismisactuatedwhenthecompressorspeedislessthan30rps,thecompressorisstoppedimmediately.
Operationstartsagainafteradelaytimeof3minutes.
(13) Current cut
(a) Purpose
Inverterisprotectedfromovercurrent.
(b) Detail of operation
Outputcurrentfromtheinverterismonitoredwithashuntresistorand,ifthecurrentexceedsthesettingvalue,the
compressorisstoppedimmediately.Operationstartsagainafteradelaytimeof3minutes.
(14) Outdoor unit failure
Thisisafunctionfordeterminingwhenthereistroublewiththeoutdoorunitduringair-conditioning.
Thecompressorisstoppedifanyoneofthefollowinginitem(a),(b)issatised.Oncetheunitisstoppedbythisfunction,
it is not restarted.

(15) Serial signal transmission error protection
(a) Purpose
Preventsmalfunctionresultingfromerrorontheindoor↔outdoorsignals.
(b) Detail of operation
(i) Ifthecompressorisoperatingandaserialsignalcannotbereceivedfromtheindoorcontrolwithoutdoorcontrol
havingserialsignalscontinuesfor7minutesand35seconds,thecompressorisstopped.
(ii)Afterthecompressorhasbeenstopped,itwillberestartedafterthecompressorstartdelayifaserialsignalcanbe
receivedagainfromtheindoorcontrol.
(16) Rotor lock
If the motor for the compressor does not turn after it has been started, it is determined that a compressor lock has occurred
and the compressor is stopped.
(17) Refrigeration cycle system protection
(a) Starting conditions
(i)When5(Heating:9)minuteshaveelapsedafterthecompressorONorthecompletionofthedefrostcontrol
(ii) Other than the defrost control.
(iii)When,aftersatisfyingtheconditionsof(i) and (ii)above,thecompressorspeed,indoorairtemperature(Thi-A)
andindoorheatexchangertemperature(Thi-R)havesatisfiedtheconditionsinthefollowingtablefor5minutes:
