5 While driving at slow speeds
Perform the following checks while driving in a safe
place at speeds lower than 20 km/h (12 MPH).
Braking performance
Depress the brake pedal and check that the
brakes work effectively and evenly on all
wheels.

Steering wheel operation
Check that the steering wheel does not
vibrate or pull to one side and that it is not
unduly heavy. Also, make sure that the
steering wheel returns to its neutral position
smoothly.

Exhaust brake effectiveness
Activate the exhaust brake and check that it
works effectively.
