1.3 Precautions when using a high-pressure
cleaner
When washing the inside of the engine compart-
ment or underside of the vehicle, be careful not to
direct water or steam from a high-pressure cleaner
toward the following parts. Doing so could cause a
malfunction and damage to components.
• Connectors on the alternator, starter, and other
electrical components and connectors of electri-
cal wiring to them
• ABS devices behind tires and electric wiring to
them
• Steering shaft
• Dust covers on steering system parts
• Transmission oil cooler
