The Mod® Amber is a JFET compressor based on the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer. It
Is a classic compressor effect with a fairly simple circuit topology, making for an easy and compact
build.
The Amber and Orange Squeezer “squish” your
guitar signal, which can provide smoother playing
dynamics and enhanced sustain. The Orange
Squeezer can be heard on classic songs by
Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, and Dire Straits
among others.
