Usage Features

Installation:

  1. Placement: Install on a flat, stable surface with a minimum of 20 cm distance from the wall.
  2. Stabilization: Allow 1 hour for the refrigerant to stabilize before use.
  3. Gallon Insertion: Insert the pipe into the water gallon, then place the cover into the gallon's mouth. Place the gallon inside the cabinet and close the door.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the electrical cord to a grounded power socket.
  5. Initial Cleaning: For first-time use, clean the unit by dispensing hot and cold water until it flows from both taps. Wait 20 minutes, then remove the gallon and drain all water from the unit by opening the drain cover. Ensure the power cord is unplugged during draining.
  6. Switches: Turn on the red switch (heater) and other switches located behind the unit.

How to Use (Three Taps):

  • Hot Water: Push the left button/tap.
  • Normal Temperature Water: Push the central button/tap.
  • Cold Water: Push the right button/tap.
  • Safety Feature: Hot water buttons include a safety mechanism (scroll and press) to prevent accidental dispensing by children.

Precautions During Use:

  • Designed for indoor use only.
  • Ensure pipes are installed correctly and the cabinet door is tightly closed.
  • Turn off the red switch (heating) when the water gallon is empty before replacing it.
  • Avoid humid, wet, or poorly wired locations to prevent electric shock or fire.
  • Do not place flammable objects near the dispenser.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and rain to prevent performance degradation and electrical leakage.
  • Do not connect to electricity or press the heater if there is no water in the tank or no water flows from the hot water tap.
  • Do not modify the power cord or use an extension cord to prevent short circuits or fire.
  • Do not touch the back of the condenser to avoid shocks.
  • Avoid exposure to hot water.
  • Keep cabinet doors closed.
  • A buzzer/alarm will sound and the water shortage indicator will light up when the gallon is empty.
  • Do not allow children to play with or hang on the appliance.
  • The product is not intended for use by individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised.

Maintenance Features

General Maintenance:

  1. Disconnect Power: Always disconnect the appliance from electrical sources before cleaning.
  2. Pre-Disinfection: The dispenser is disinfected before shipping.
  3. Annual Cleaning: Have an expert technician clean the bottle support, water tube, and heating element annually to maintain good condition and extend usage. Do not disassemble the machine yourself.
  4. Surface Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly wet cloth to clean the dispenser's surface, then wipe dry with a soft, dry cloth. Prevent water from entering the engine.
  5. Draining Water: Unplug the power cord when disposing of residual water, during maintenance, or when the unit is not used for a long time. Open the drain valve until no water remains.

Precautionary Actions for Maintenance:

  1. Placement: Place on an even surface, away from humid areas, with a minimum 20 cm distance from the wall. Do not store flammable substances nearby.
  2. Initial Water Flow: Do not connect the electrical cord or press the hot water switch (red) until water flows freely from the hot water tap.
  3. Long-Term Storage: If not used for a long period, turn off heater and cooler switches, disconnect the cord, and drain the water.
  4. Cleaning Agents: Do not use chemical substances or spray water directly to clean the dispenser; use a soft cloth.
  5. Disconnecting Power: Pull the plug from the socket with a dry hand; do not pull the cord.
  6. Transportation: Do not place the dispenser horizontally; the slope should not exceed 45° to avoid compressor damage.
  7. Thermostat: The thermostat is factory-adjusted; do not attempt to modify it.
  8. Power Cord Damage: If the power cord is damaged, contact the MODENA call center for replacement. Replacement must be done by experienced personnel.
  9. Disposal: Do not dispose of with other household waste. Consult authorized service providers for proper disposal of gas insulation and refrigerant. Ensure refrigerant pipes and ductwork are not damaged before disposal.

Troubleshooting (Problem & Solution):

  • Water not hot nor cold:
    • Cause: Excessive dispensation of hot/cold water in a short period; unit not connected to electricity.
    • Solution: Wait until water becomes cold/hot; connect cord and press heater/cooler switches.
  • Water not dispensed from tap:
    • Cause: Water gallon empty; pipe stuck/clogged.
    • Solution: Replace water gallon; turn off cooling switch for 4 hours, then turn it back on.
  • Leak on water gallon support:
    • Cause: Water gallon leaking/damaged.
    • Solution: Replace water gallon.
  • Loud noise during operation:
    • Cause: Improper installation or placement.
    • Solution: Install unit on an even and stable surface.
