This document provides instructions for assembling and maintaining a Brilliant LED Tree, manufactured by Modern Display. The manual covers both 3-section and 4-section tree models, with specific guidance for a 9-foot Versa Tree.

Function Description

The Brilliant LED Tree is a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree designed for easy assembly and a customizable display. It features integrated LED lights and a dimmer switch, allowing users to adjust the brightness to their preference. The tree is designed to be shaped by the user to achieve a full and natural appearance.

Important Technical Specifications

Tree Sections: Available in 3-section and 4-section configurations.
Height: A 9-foot Versa Tree model is specifically mentioned, which includes a second stand for the additional section.
Lighting: Equipped with long-lasting LED lights.
Power: Requires connection to a wall outlet.
Adjustability: Includes a dimmer switch to adjust the brightness of the LED lights.
Lubrication (Optional): WD-40 is recommended for lubricating pole sections to facilitate disassembly.

Usage Features

Assembly:

Tree Stand Setup: Remove the tree stand from its plastic bag, pull the legs open, insert the screws, and place the stand in the desired location, preferably near a wall outlet.
Pole Section Preparation: Remove green pole protectors from the end of each pole section.
Bottom Section (A): Place the bottom section (A) into the stand and hand-tighten the provided bolts.
Branch Release and Shaping (Row by Row):
- Untie the string on the bottom row of branches.
- Shape one branch at a time using the shaping tips provided.
- Once a row is complete, pull another string to release the next row and continue.
- Tip: A small amount of WD-40 on the pole of each section before sliding it into the next can make disassembly easier.
Connecting Sections (B into A): Place section (B) into (A). Find the extension cords from each section and plug them together according to the Assembly Diagram. It is not necessary to unplug individual light sets on each branch.
Shaping Section (B): Release and shape the bottom row of branches on section (B) following the same process as section (A).
Tree Top (for 3-section trees): If the tree has 3 sections, shape the tree top in hand before placing it into section (B). Plug in extension cords as per the diagram.
Versa Tree (9' tall, 4-section):
- After completing sections (A) and (B), place section (C) into the smaller stand provided in the carton.
- Follow shaping instructions (step 4).
- Plug extension cords from each section together per the Assembly Diagram.
- Once section (C) is shaped, lit, and decorated, simply pop it up onto the tree.
- The diagram shows a 4-section tree with sections A, B, C, and a top section. The instructions imply C is the third main section, and the "top" is the final piece.

Shaping Tips (The Art of Shaping and Maintenance Tips):

Progressive Shaping: Only untie the bottom red string to release the bottom row of branches, keeping upper rows out of the way. Shape one row at a time.
Branch Fan Technique: Starting from the back of the first branch, fan each needle into different directions, similar to 9:00 to 3:00 positions on a clock.
Vary Needle Positions: Vary needle positions frequently. As you move from back to front, keep needles straight and decrease the angle. This creates fullness and space for decorations, helping blend the tree top.
End of Branch Shaping:
- For PE (polyethylene) needles, pull them out to the sides, slightly higher and lower than one another.
- For PVC (polyvinyl chloride) needles, arrange them in the shape of an open hand.
- If a pine cone is present, center it in the palm.
Tree Top Shaping: Shape the tree top in hand before placing it. Gently pull each tip down, starting with the bottom row. Pull each needle straight and give it a slight curl towards the sun. Maintain equal distance between needles and decrease the angle from the pole as you work upwards.

Lighting Control:

The tree is furnished with a dimmer switch (a dial) to adjust the brightness of the LED lights.
To use, plug the cord coming from the bottom of the tree into the female end of the cord on the dimmer, and plug the dimmer's wall plug into an outlet.

Versa Tree Configuration Options (for 9' tree):

6.5' to 7.5' Tree: Leave section (A) in the carton and use the smaller stand to assemble the remaining sections.
4' to 6' Tree: Leave both sections (A) and (B) in the carton and assemble the remaining sections. (Smaller size variations depend on the tree style).

Maintenance Features

Storage: Store the tree in a cool, dry place.
Light Set Replacement:
- In case of a light set failure, a spare set is included in the carton.
- Each branch has its own light set.
- To replace, untie the light string from the branch needles, unplug the faulty set, and replace it with the spare.
