Gravity Ballast System
The optional Gravity Ballast System is an electronically
controlled ballast system that can be operated from the
driver’s seat. The Gravity system is available in a 1 or 3
position system. The switch panel to the 3 position system
is located directly below the shifter mechanism, and the
1 position system is operated from a switch on the dash.

breaker on the switch panel, or the separate ballast fuse
block located under the dash area. The ballast bags or
tanks can be found in the front ski locker, under the rear
seat, or in the rear v-drive storage areas depending on the
the model and ballast system.
Care should be taken that the ballast bags are situated

not be twisted and the bags should be free to expand and
drain completely. Care should be taken to prevent sharp
objects from coming in contact with the bags. Cuts and
punctures to the bags are not warrantable.
Each Gravity Ballast system also includes a manual shut
off valve in case of emergencies. If closed, the valve will
prevent any water from entering the system and is only used
in emergency situations. Under normal use the valve should

Priming the System
To allow water into the system, the Gravity Ballast system
utilizes a scooped intake strainer to force water into the
V\VWHP 7KLV DOORZV WKH EDOODVW V\VWHP WR EH ¿OOHG ZKLOH
running or sitting still. If air becomes trapped in the system,
it may be necessary to run the boat at planing speeds to
IRUFHZDWHULQWRWKHV\VWHPDQGDOORZVWKH¿OOSXPSWRSULPH
fully. Once the pump has primed it is no longer necessary
WR UXQ WKH ERDW IRU¿OOLQJ 7KLV VLWXDWLRQPD\ RFFXULI WKH
boat is trailered.
