Trim out the supplied template along the dotted lines as indicated for vehicles with or without sunroof.
Position and tape the template to the headliner where indicated for precise trimming.
Measure 20" (508mm) from the rear of the overhead console to the front of the template.
Trim out the headliner using a sharp utility knife following the template.
Disconnect and isolate the vehicle's negative battery cable.
Remove the left sun visor by unscrewing two T25 screws and disengaging the retaining clip.
Disconnect and remove the overhead console unit from the headliner.
Open cap plugs in the left A-pillar trim panel and remove the panel using two screws.
Remove cap plugs from B-pillar trim panels and one screw each side using a magnetized T15 driver.
Remove T15 shoulder belt turning loop bolts to detach the trim panels.
Disconnect and remove left and right headliner grab handles using two T20 screws.
Remote the left and right C-pillar trim panels.
Remove the center console radio bezel.
Remove the vehicle's radio unit by unscrewing four Phillips screws.
Remove and discard the back cover from the rear of the floor console.
Remove one T15 screw from the right side of the floor console.
Remove the upper liftgate trim panel.
Remove the left and right D-pillar trim panels.
Remove two retainers from the rear edge of the headliner.
Install two u-nuts on each side of the left and right sunroof inner frame.
Slide the screen console mounting bracket between the headliner and sunroof middle beam.
Align three holes in the center of the mounting bracket with holes in the middle beam.
Install three M5 screws to secure the mounting bracket.
Install two M6 hex flange screws to each end of the bracket into the u-nuts.
Tighten the three M5 bolts to 85 in.-lbs. (9.6 N·m).
Install four u-nuts to slots in the front and rear roof crossbow.
Carefully slide the screen console mounting bracket forward from the rear opening of the headliner.
Lock the mounting bracket's rear tab to the slot in the rear roof crossbow.
Slide the mounting bracket's front tab to the slot in the front roof crossbow.
Align two holes in the front of the mounting bracket to the front roof crossbow.
Install two M6 bolts into the front roof crossbow using a 10mm socket.
Install two M6 bolts through the rear of the mounting bracket into the rear roof crossbow u-nuts.
Tighten the four mounting bolts to 105 in.-lbs. (11.8 N·m).
Carefully lower the headliner and let it rest on the seat headrests.
Route the black connector on the overhead harness under the headliner out of the trimmed opening.
Route the harness forward along the trough in the headliner foam block.
Use strong adhesive tape to secure the harness to the inside of the headliner.
Reposition the headliner and re-install pillar trim panels, sun visor, and overhead console.
Detach the left front door weatherstrip from the I/P to the top of the door sill.
Remove the lower I/P closeout panel and drop down the knee blocker.
Route overhead harness down the left A-pillar and secure with tie straps.
Route harness across the inside of knee blocker opening to the lower right center console trim panel.
Hand feed the 12-way connector on the power harness into the radio opening.
Plug the 22-way connectors between the radio and radio harness connector.
Plug the 10-way connector into the radio.
Procedure to modify wiring if vehicle is equipped with Satellite Radio.
Route power harness and overhead harness rearward behind the right side of floor console.
Position harness connectors approximately 6" out of the rear console's end cap mounting tabs.
Bundle any slack in the harness, tape, and tuck neatly inside the center console.
Install bracket (Item 9) to the DVD player (Item 10) with four T25 screws.
Install bracket/DVD player to the end cap/lid assembly with four T15 screws.
Plug 12-way power harness connector and 16-way overhead harness connector into the back of DVD player.
Fully engage the DVD bracket's two hook tabs to the floor console bottom mounting slots.
Snap four retaining clips on the DVD bracket into the floor console mounting slots.
Plug and lock overhead harness connector into the screen console.
Snap four retaining clips on the top of screen console into the mounting bracket slots.
Open the screen and carefully remove the attached DVD remote.
Peel and stick mercury warning label to the lower portion of the left B-pillar.
Re-install all previously removed components, panels, and fasteners.
Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
Place supplied batteries into both headphones.
Place batteries into the DVD remote.
Turn on the ignition; the unit will power up.
Use a STARSCAN tool to reconfigure the Front Control Module (FCM) for the VES.
Insert a known good DVD into the player and verify playback.
Verify function of headphones and DVD remote using the operating instructions.
Place the Operating Instructions in the vehicle's glove box.
