Mopeka Pro + Long Range Instructions (USER)
Startup:
1. Download the Mopeka Tank Check App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to your Phone.
2. Ensure you have your BLUETOOTH activated on your Phone and allow permissions if the App requests it.
3. Remove 2 screws and lid.
4. Install 2 AAA batteries provided. Only use AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Note: Battery
orientation is shown in the bottom of the sensor under each battery.
5. Reinstall lid and screws.
6. Open Mopeka Tank Check App on your Smart Phone.
7. PRESS and HOLD the GREEN SYNC BUTTON on the sensor for 5-10 seconds to sync sensor to App. Then
CLICK on your located sensor in the App.
8. In the App, go to sensor page by clicking on the settings icon (The COG WHEEL in the top right corner of
the App); and enter appropriate tank size. Other settings may be adjusted as desired.
Installation:
9. Place the sonic grease on center RUBBER pad as shown. Do not place grease on the Magnets.
10. Place the sensor on tank bottom. See installation tips below.
11. Use bubble level tool in the app to ensure that the sensor is installed level on the bottom of the tank. If
sensor is not level, ultrasonic performance may be degraded.
12. Once installed and level, the goal is to achieve 2-3 stars Quality in the App.
Installation Tips:
Apply grease to pad shown. Note also that if sensor is repositioned several times, it may be necessary to reapply
grease, to ensure good coverage of the round rubber pad.
For vertical tanks, the sensor should be installed in the center, bottom of tank as shown.
Place blocks, if needed, under tank to allow adequate clearance for sensor. Sensor should not contact the ground.
Blocks will also increase the usable wireless range between the sensor and the device (phone/tablet).
