(Typical Control Panel)
Actual control panel layout and controls are determined by engine type and model.
Please check the Engine Operator Manual supplied with your machine.
1. PERMISSIVE START BUTTON - Used
in conjunction with the key switch to start
engine.
2. KEY SWITCH - Used in conjunction with
the permissive start button to start engine.
3. ENGINE TEMPERATURE - Indicates
the engine coolant temperature.
4. AMPMETER - Indicates the status of the
Engine Charging System.
5. ENGINE PRESSURE GAUGE - Measures
the Internal Pressure of the engine oil.
Note: Individual engines may vary from the
normal pressures. Observe and record the
pressure when the engine is new to serve as
a guide for an indication of progressive engine
condition. (High oil pressure during start up isnot
cause for alarm.)
ENGINE CONTROLS
6. TACHOMETER\SPEED SWITCH -
The tachometer measures the revolutions
per minute of the power unit.
Refer to LOR for speed switch setting proce-
dures.
IMPORTANT: Never let engine RPM drop
below 2100 RPM when operating.
7. HOUR METER - An hour meter registers
the amount of time the electrical power is
being sent to the power unit.
IMPORTANT: Never tamper with or alter an
hour meter reading.
