PL Defeat Feature
UTILITIES
This feature allows you to override any coded squelch (DPL
or PL) that might be preprogrammed to a channel.
The radio will also unmute to any digital activity on a digital
channel.
Procedure:
1. Place the preprogrammed PL Defeat button in the PL
Defeat position.
You hear any activity on the channel.
OR
The radio is muted if no activity is present.
Note: When this feature is active, the Carrier Squelch status
indicator is displayed.
