Dial the desired telephone
number using the keypad. When the
person answers, transmit normally.
Note: Tell the person answering that
you are talking from a radio and, that,
they should wait to hear the “beep”
after you speak before replying.
Otherwise, if they talk while you are
transmitting, you won't be able to hear
what they are saying.
When your call is complete,
press the telephone interconnect
button again to hang up.
Note: If an invalid key tone is heard
when the telephone interconnect
button is pressed, the telephone
interconnect option has not been
enabled. Telephone calls cannot be
made.
Note: If an illegal mode tone is heard
when the telephone interconnect
button is pressed, the radio may be
out-of-range of the system or not
authorized to access telephone
interconnect. Telephone calls cannot
be made.
