Use according to the intended purpose

Unit intended for industrial machines. Non-conforming usage is user's responsibility. Not for explosion-proof areas.

Installation

Device installation within permissible temperature range, ensuring ventilation. Disconnect all voltage sources before installation/maintenance.

EMC Guidelines

Measures to minimize electromagnetic interference: shielded cables, proper grounding, and mounting.

Cleaning, Maintenance and Service Notes

Cleaning the front with a soft, damp cloth. No maintenance during normal operation. Unauthorized repair is prohibited.

Introduction

Operation mode

Unit is versatile, configurable in parameter menu. Modes include SPEED, PROCESS TIME, TIMER, COUNTER, VELOCITY.

Function diagram

Diagram illustrating the functional blocks and data flow of the touchMATRIX® indicator.

Electrical Connections

DC Power Supply

Unit accepts DC supply from 18 to 30 V. GND terminals are interconnected.

Auxiliary Voltage Output

Terminals 3 and 4 provide auxiliary output for sensors/encoders. Voltage depends on power supply.

DX350: Incremental Input A, B

Unit provides two inputs for HTL signals. Characteristics (PNP, NPN, Namur, Tri-State) configurable.

DX355: Incremental Input A,;A, B,;B

Unit provides two pulse inputs for HTL/RS422 signals. Characteristics configurable in GENERAL MENU.

Control Inputs

Three control inputs with HTL PNP characteristics. Programmable functions include reset, display switching, and locking.

Analog Output (Option AO;AR)

16-bit analog output available. Configurable for voltage (-10...+10 V) or current (0...20 mA / 4...20 mA).

Serial interface (Option AO;AR;CO;CR)

RS232 or RS485 interface for setup, parameter modification, and data readout.

Control-Output (AO;AR;CO;CR)

Four control outputs are fast PNP outputs. Switching conditions set in PRESELECTION MENU.

AC Power supply (Option AC)

Unit accepts AC supply from 115 to 230 V. Can also be supplied with DC voltage.

Relay-Output (Option RL)

Two potential-free changeover relay outputs. Switching conditions set in PRESELECTION MENU.
