CHAINSAW ASSEMBLY
2
Unscrew the clutch cover nuts and remove the cover.
4
Fit the guidebar slot over the clutch cover bolts.
Push the guidebar back towards the drive sprocket and clutch.
5
Ensure the chain is facing the right way then thread it around
the drive sprocket and into the grove on the guidebar.
A symbol on the guidebar tip shows which way the chain
links should face.
6
If the guidebar has a sprocket nose ensure the drive links
fit into it correctly.
7
Check that the chain tension adjuster pin is fitted correctly
into the hole in the guidebar.
If it isn’t turn the adjuster screw until it is.
8
Refit the clutch cover and nuts finger tight.
Adjust the chain tension using the tension adjuster screw.
9
The chain is correctly tensioned when it can be lifted
approximately 2-4mm away from the centre of the guidebar.
10
Raise the bar and tighten the guard nuts
securely using the wrench. Support the
guidebar in position and tighten the clutch
cover nuts completely using the
combination spanner.
Remove and discard the transport packing
spacer before fitting the guidebar and chain.
FAILURE TO REMOVE THIS SPACER

TO THE CHAIN.
