En gine h unts and sto ps Rem ove fuel c a p to rele ase air lo ck and replace it just finger tigh t, do n ot o ve r-tighten .
Failu re to cu t grass properly
Stop the eng ine an d dis c onnect the spa rk plug le ad us ing h eat re sistant gloves.
Che ck blade attac hment bolt is tight.
Che ck c ond ition of b lade. If ser io usly worn o r da mag ed r eplace w ith a new on e.
Failu re to co llect gras s pro perly
Stop the eng ine an d disconn ect the spark plug le ad using hea t re sistant glo ves.
Che ck and m ak e s ure the re is n o build up of grass ins ide the casin g.
Che ck g ras s c atch er is allowin g air to flow throu gh th e fabric; if it is clo gge d it s hould be washe d
carefully.
If th e grass ca tche r is n ot clog ged rais e the he ight of cut to increas e airflo w.
Che ck to e nsure the en gine is running at the co rre ct sp eed, (ap proxim ately 3 000rp m ).
If conditions ar e to o s evere to u se the gra ss catche r, remove it and work with the deflecto r in position.
