FAULT FINDING
CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY
OBLEM
gine will not start
Check there is ample clean, fresh fuel in the tank.
Check the cutter blade is not fouling the ground preventing free rotation.
gine will not stop
Check the Op erators Pres ence Control (O PC) lever is fully released.
Rem ove spa rk plug lead to stop engine usin g insulated gloves and refer to d ealer.
gine hunts and stops Rem ove fuel cap to release air lock and replace it just finger tight, do not over-tighten.
lure to cu t grass properly
Stop the engine an d disconnect the spark plug lead using h eat resistant gloves.
Check blade attachment bolt is tight.
Check cond ition of blade. If serio usly worn or damaged replace with a new one.
lure to co llect grass prope rly
Stop the engine and disconnect the spa rk plug lead using heat resistant gloves.
Check and m ake sure there is no build up of grass inside the casing.
Che ck g rass catcher is allowing air to flow throu gh the fabric; if it is clogge d it sho uld be washe d
carefully.
If the grass catcher is not clogged raise the height of cut to increase airflow.
Check to ensure the engine is running at the correct speed, (approxim ately 3 000 rpm).
If conditions are too severe to use the grass catcher, remove it and work with the deflecto r in position.
chine vibrates excessiv ely
This will certainly indicate that the bla de has becom e badly dam aged. Stop the engine, disconnect the
spark plug lead and exam ine the blade assemb ly. Refer to your local dealer.
