- WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Shut off gas supply
• Do not try to light any appliance
• Do not touch an electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re department.
- Installation and service must be performed by a qualied installer, service agency, or the gas supplier.
WARNING: This is an unvented gas-red heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the room in which it is installed.
Provisions for adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided. Refer to Fresh Air for Combustion
and Ventilation section on page 4 of this manual.
WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance can cause injury or property

      If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Mr. Heater Gas Heater, there could be several reasons. Ensure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Make sure to fully press in the control knob while pressing the ignition button. If there's air in the gas line from a recent installation, continue holding down the control knob and repeat the ignition operation until the air is removed. The ODS/pilot might also be clogged and require cleaning. A gas regulator setting might not be correct, and require replacement. Ensure the control knob is in the pilot position.

      If, when you press the ignitor button on your Mr. Heater Gas Heater, there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition, ensure the control knob is fully pressed in. Also, after the ODS/pilot lights, keep the control knob pressed in for 30 seconds. Make sure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check if the thermocouple is damaged, and hand tighten the thermocouple nut until snug, then tighten it an additional 1/4 turn.
