The AromaFlo is a fragrance metering pump system designed for commercial steam rooms, introducing aromatic fragrances into the steam pipe and the steam room. It is intended for indoor use only and should be installed in a dry, clean location, not subject to moisture, condensation, or high humidity. The system is factory-set to deliver a suitable amount of fragrance for a typical commercial room, with a volume adjustment knob to gradually increase the fragrance level.

Function Description:

The AromaFlo system consists of a pump, a caddy to hold the fragrance container, a power adapter, and associated hoses and valves. It works by drawing fragrance from a container via a suction hose, pumping it through a pressure hose, and injecting it into the steam line through a check valve, typically located near the steam head. The system is designed to operate with MrSteam CU commercial steam bath generators.

Usage Features:

  • Fragrance Delivery Adjustment: The pump features a volume adjustment knob and a fragrance volume scale, allowing operators to control the amount of fragrance dispensed. It is recommended to start at a very low setting and gradually increase until a comfortable level is reached, without exceeding the "Recommended Setting."
  • Priming Button: A priming button is available on the pump head to fill the tubing with liquid fragrance, ensuring proper operation.
  • LED Light: An LED light illuminates when the pump is connected to a power source, indicating it is operational.
  • Warning Sign: A warning sign is provided to be posted near the steam room door, informing users about the automatic aromatic dispensing system and advising them to leave the room immediately if they experience adverse reactions.

Installation Features:

  • Mounting: The AromaFlo pump should be attached to a secure vertical surface, and the caddy, which holds the fragrance container, can be mounted on a wall stud or secured to the floor. The caddy should be placed in a location that allows visual monitoring of the fragrance level and easy replacement of the container.
  • Location Requirements: The AromaFlo and fragrance should be kept away from heat, sparks, electrical outlets, and open flames. They should not be installed outdoors, in unheated locations where water could freeze, or near corrosive materials/chemicals. A locked room (e.g., utility room) is recommended to prevent access by children.
  • Check Valve: A supplied check valve must be installed in the steam supply line (within 5-10 feet of the steam head) to prevent excessive fragrance delivery into the steam room.
  • Electrical Connection: The AromaFlo system is factory-wired and connects to a 120V grounded outlet, typically attached to the steam solenoid valve. All electrical connections must be made by a licensed, qualified electrician.
  • Hose Connection: The pressure hose connects to a barb fitting on the pump and to the check valve. The suction hose is inserted through a hole in the fragrance container cap and into the fragrance container.

Maintenance Features:

  • Personal Injury: Avoid fragrance contact with eyes and skin. Ingestion may cause irritation. Vapors may cause drowsiness, allergic reactions, or respiratory irritation.
  • Children: Keep out of reach of children.
  • Static Discharge: Use non-sparking tools and take precautionary measures against static discharge during installation.
  • Product Modification: Do not alter or modify any MrSteam product, as this may result in personal injury and void the warranty.
  • Fragrance Compatibility: Only use MrSteam Aroma fragrances with the AromaFlo. Using other fragrances or using MrSteam fragrances in other devices may cause personal injury or excessive concentration.
  • Disposal: MrSteam Aroma fragrances must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
  • Caddy Security: Always keep the fragrance container secured in the caddy, and ensure the AromaFlo is mounted to prevent spillage, strong vapors, or fire hazards.
  • Electrical Safety: Disconnect power before servicing. All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician. The electrical outlet is for AromaFlo pump connection only; other connections may cause circuit overload.
