IV. MAXIMUM CURRENT
Maximum current is dependent on the number of cells in your battery.
Although each channel is capable of delivering up to 4.50 amps
independently, the total output in amps (when charging on both channels
simultaneously) is limited to the total input. From a 12-volt power supply/car
battery you can charge two 7.2-volt batteries at 4.5 amps at the same time.
However, when using the included power supply, you are limited to the total
current of 5 amps. If you wish to simultaneously charge 2 batteires at 4.5
amps per channel, you can purchase a DC power supply for the 969 Pro,
which includes a Y-connector adapter. The part number for this item is
RB970.
The following tables show the maximum charge current and discharge current.
Channel A
• Charge and discharge ability for 1 to 8 cell
• Charge current rate: from 0.20 to 4.5 Amps
• Discharge current rate: from 0.20 to 3.0 Amps
*Note: Need higher than 12V DC input.
Channel B
• Charge only for 1 to 8 cells
• Current rate: from 0.20 to 4.5 Amps
*Note: Need higher than 12V DC input.
